‘A tremendous job’: Conservation project commended by Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust
Studio Catenaccio were delighted to receive this wonderful testimonial from the Head of Architecture at Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust, the local conservation body responding to the Brick Arches Project:
“A tremendous job. The matching and quality of the brickwork is really excellent. Studio Catenaccio’s thoughtful approach and care put into the design and methodology resulted in a solution that resolved the client’s problem while remaining respectful of the historic context.” David Davidson, Head of Architecture, Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust.
The project is also being written up by the Trust as an example of sensitive repair, launching a new feature in their quarterly newsletter covering exemplary building work in the Suburb. The Brick Arches conservation project was completed back in May, the restoration of a Grade II-Listed brick wall and arches that were at risk of collapse due to cracking following ground movement.
